A me piace la formula del gioco collaborativo:
A collaborative game is a game built on the consensus of most or all players as to how it turns out. Outcomes are negotiated, information is shared out of character to allow people to steer toward a dramatic conclusion. Everyone has incredible amounts of control over their story, and cannot be compelled to take part in a story they don’t want to be part of. They offer a rich story-focused experience but usually at the cost of dramatic tension, uncertainty and the excitement that comes from those two things
Riguardo al Nerdball mi sembra che su Racconti delle Valli questo rischio non ci sia per fortuna. I nostri personaggi per quanto potrebbero ipoteticamente diventare '' potenti'' resteranno comunque delle comparse rispetto alla vastità di un ambientazione praticamente infinita. Quindi di fatto non possono controllare nulla ne incidere significativamente su nulla perché ci sarà sempre ''npg più grosso'', o il gruppo d'ambientazione più potente che possono in ogni momento intervenire e rimettere le cose in gioco.. o la palla al centro.
